TCVAA Canada started with the sponsorship of three children at TCV Dharamsala in 2006. In 2007, another three children were sponsored under the Department of Education of Tibetan administration in Dharamsala. The sponsorships are ongoing and covers the living and educational costs of the children.

"... deeply appreciate the initiative you have taken to support our needy children" wrote the minister of education of the Tibetan govt. in exile.

Another letter from the Director of TCV, Tsewang Yeshi la said he "thank each and everyone of you for your this most thoughtful gesture ..."

Jestun Pema la wrote "It is very kind and thoughtful of you to want to sponsor three of our TCV children. This is just to thank you all and also to say that this is very much appreciated."
